The Plant Cell publishes novel research of special significance in plant biology, especially in the areas of cellular biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, development, and evolution. With an impact factor of 8.7 (2016)The Plant Cell provides new insight that is of broad interest to plant biologists, not only to specialists, and that the presentation of results is appropriate for a wide audience of plant biologists.

Plant Physiology is an international journal devoted to physiology, biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, genetics, biophysics, and environmental biology of plants. With an impact factor of 6.5 (2016)Plant Physiology is one of the world's oldest and most well-respected plant science journals and is published by the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB) .

The Plant Journal publishes exciting, high quality science that addresses fundamental questions in plant biology. Typically, the research will provide insight into an as yet unknown mechanism or poorly understood process, will constitute a highly significant contribution to our understanding of plants, and be of general interest to the plant science community. With an impact factor of 5.9 (2016)The Plant Journal publishes on areas of plant biology and the experimental approaches used can be wide-ranging and interdisciplinary.

Current Opinion in Plant Biology publishes high-quality review papers of broad general interest and biological significance in the area of Plant Biology, and related fields. With an impact factor of 7.4 (2016)Current Opinion in Plant Biology focuses on research papersthat will be of interest to a broad readership.

Plant & Cell Physiology publishes the very best original research on plant physiology, biochemistry, cell biology, molecular genetics, epigenetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics and –omics; as well as how plants respond to and interact with their environment (abiotic and biotic factors), and the biology of photosynthetic microorganisms. With an impact factor of 4.8 (2016), Plant & Cell Physiology interests and scopes encompass research not just at the whole-organism level but also at the cellular and subcellular levels.

Journal of Experimental Botany publishes papers that advance our understanding of plant biology. Original research should provide new information on fundamental processes or mechanisms including those underpinning the improvement of plants for the sustainable production of food, fuel and renewable materials. With an impact factor of 5.8 (2016)Journal of Experimental Botany articles cover the breadth and significance of the work to the plant science community.

Rice is the world's only high-quality serial publication for reporting current advances in rice genetics, structural and functional genomics, comparative genomics, molecular biology and physiology, molecular breeding and comparative biology. With an impact factor of 3.7 (2016), Rice publishes review articles and original papers in all of the aforementioned areas and serves as the primary source of newly published information for researchers and students in rice and related research.

Plant Signaling & Behavior serves as a platform for publication of data related to different levels of biological organization: from molecules, via protein complexes, membranes, organelles, cells, organs, whole plants, up to plant communities. This journal also covers studies on communication and interactions of plants with viruses, bacteria, nematodes, fungi, insects, and predatory animals. These interactions can be pathogenic, symbiotic or predatory.

BMC Plant Biology is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that considers articles on all aspects of plant biology, including molecular, cellular, tissue, organ and whole organism research.  With an impact factor of 4 (2016)BMC Plant Biology's open access policy allows maximum visibility of articles published in the journal as they are available to a wide, global audience.

Frontiers in Plant Science is a leading journal in its field, publishing rigorously peer-reviewed research that advances our understanding of plant models, crops and ecosystems, and translates research into new technological advances. With an impact factor of 4.3 (2016)Frontiers in Plant Science is at the forefront of disseminating and communicating scientific knowledge and impactful discoveries to researchers, academics, policy makers and the public worldwide.
